.
Folks, there are about 20,000 people a month who stop in here to browse around. An amazing percentage of you spend more than a few minutes reading my poor offerings, and for that I am grateful.
It's because of that, that I feel I should explain my lack of blogging lately.
I'm a teacher. I instruct high school seniors in the fine art of automotive service, thus my moniker of 'Carteach0' (Carteach was taken!). Well.... this school year is more challenging than ever before. Not only a great new batch of students to guide (44!) but new requirements from the state and the administration that have little to do with actual teaching. All of that extra work comes straight from personal unpaid time, as every teacher is already overloaded 180% on what can be done in the school day.
Add in.... I'm taking two PSU courses at the same time, required to gain my teaching certificate and keep my job. That's six credits, three of which are for a class I can't even tell you the meaning of.... it's just 'required'.
All this whining means no shooty for old Carteach0. No reloading. No playing with boomsticks at all. The long and short of it... I'm in survival mode and struggling to get done what I must. Since I only write here about what I do myself, with nothing 'creatively created' or 'borrowed', then it means I'm not posting.
I'm sorry folks.... but take heart. I will get back in the saddle one day. It will probably be spring, but it will happen I'm sure. Thanks for hanging in there!
Many regards,
Carteach0

I'm sure we ALL understand your pain... You do what you've gotta do and hopefully you'll be able to squeeze in a few minutes to have some fun shooting!
Don't work yourself too hard...
Best of luck to you and you will still be living in the blog roll come Spring. I do enjoy reading your posts.
I really enjoy reading your blog. Your students are lucky to have you as their instructor.
If it's blog time or recoil time....take the later. We'll see you here when you have time.
Good luck, and God Bless.
See Ya
Thanks for the time you invest in your blog. I look forward to you finding time to resume. Hope you get some time off during the Holidays.
Do what you have to, meanwhile we can just keep your side of the page info on reloading etc.,keep checking back often and waiting for your return. Good luck in the school year.
Hang in there! Look forward to reading your future posts when you have the time to write them.
Thanks for the update. I'm sure many of us were worried that something bad (worse) had happened to you.
You have a fine blog that is very educational. We will be here when you can get back to it. Meanwhile we can review your archive.
Thanks for the update. I'll keep checking in now and then. Good luck with all that work.

You know, you could write about automotive instruction. Many gun owners appreciate fine mechanical work. For that matter, even those here that have their own greasy fingernails (professionally or hobbiest) can always learn another tidbit.
Best of luck to you sir. I guess this would be a great time to read all the older posts.
Carteach0,
I feel your pain. My wife has taught Kindergarten for years and this year has definitely been the worse with all the extra requirements you mention. She has two special needs students that didn't come with any additional full time aid support, both requiring at least 12 weeks of almost constant documentation before she can build a case to get them the much needed additional help they both need.
just glad you're ok
Miss the posts, but totally understand your pain. I instruct for the military, supervise other instructors, handle the administrivia and design the courseware etc. Grading papers, counseling, writing performance evaluation, keeping records, is generally on my dime too!
Keep up the good work, most of your students will never forget you.
As a instructor at a technical school for 11-12 grade students, I feel your pain. I hate how the powers-that-be add extra curriculum. We have to not only teach joe or jane employable skills, but how figuratively to fold their napkins at the dinner table, and other PC social skills dreamed up by a "progressive" State-Ed.
Glad to hear you are okay, and as others have said we'll be here waiting when you find the time> I also am going through the past posts! Merry Christmas and Happy new Year ( a little early)
First, I completely understand your pain and I don't envy you the administrivia imposed by admin types.
Second, one of my most memorable teachers ever was my auto shop instructor, Charlie Huddleston. He set me on a course of hard work, perseverence and honesty that has never failed me. I'm certain from reading your blog writing that your students are getting the same know how (and why) from your instruction.
I'll keep you on the blogroll in expectation that you will be back active when the turmoil rolls past.
Love your blog. I but recently discovered it. Hope for the best in all your endeavors.

Well, there are priorities, and the pay-the-bills jobs takes it over the blog
Hang in there guy... We'll be around when you get back to a more 'normal' life...
I feel your pain...too much to do and not enough time.
I write gun stuff as well; articles that have been published on Guns and Shooting Online (G&S).
My blog spot is similar to yours in that I have guns stuff and recipes as well but all in the same ball of wax not divided into two different blogs.
Your articles are very well written and are both informative and relevant and are a value to many. Today I posted your url on the G&S forum.
I will keep your blog spot in my Favorites and I hope that by the time that I have read and digested your words of wisdom that you will be back online and writing as soon as you are able.
Keep up the Great work!
