Hmm.... well...... so it goes.

Lately, since I have started writing for this blog again, readership has plummeted.   While I took a nearly two year hiatus, roughly 1000 people a day still wandered into this tiny little nook on the interwebs.   Now that I am putting up a bit of new stuff, that's dropped to a few hundred a day.

Hmm...... do I have bad breath?  Am I offending people?  Are my topics lately scoring a new low on the boring scale?

Meh.  Curiosity only goes so far.  I'll not worry about it.  The coffee is fresh and good, I made blueberry pancakes for the clan, and they turned out perfect.  The bacon is crispy just so.

This blog always was little more than a journal of my shooting misadventures. That's a good thing for it to remain being.

MMmm....... Coffeeeee.........

Hey man, I'm subscribed to a ton of content and yours is one of the few I hit first whenever I see something new posted before browsing the rest. It's far more likely you've run afoul of a search engine algorithm or two due to formatting or some such nonsense than that there's a problem with your content. Keep up the good work!

I also read your posts as soon as my RSS reader shows a new one. I don't know if you are able to see your readers who are using an RSS reader and who read your posts without actually visiting your blog. Nevertheless, you are a one of my favorite bloggers, so keep on keeping on...

I still read and very much enjoy your posts. I will say that because I use a feed reader, I check your blog after I've read almost all of my other regular blogs first. You've got a setting turned on that truncates your posts when they're sent through Feedbin (which goes to Reeder and other feed readers). That means that I've got to click through to the main site every time you post something. No idea if that has anything to do with the issue, but it might be something worth checking out.

I'm too lazy to learn how to use a feed reader. And I feel overwhelmed by the vast amount of content of the internet.

I stop by occasionally, and I'll continue to do so. I like your posts, but my infrequent visits probably don't help your numbers.

I'm not whining my friends. Just noticing a trend. No worries.

I had just started reading you when you took that leave of absence and was thrilled when you came back. So you are read!

I'm glad to see you back posting again. The downturn in Vista may very well be some algorithm used by the RSS readers that might reduce the frequency of checks for new posts after you make a post on your blog.

I suspect most of that 1K is RSS "touches"; now that you're posting again I'll move your link up to my Daily Reads list.

Welcome back.

I like your blog. Lots of interesting gun stuff. Well, I've never been bored here.

I'm personally thrilled to see you back slaving over a keyboard for my gratification! I'm especially interested in your AR builds and all the info you get out there about them. This accurate AR your currently working on is very interesting to me. I have plans for a similar build, with many of the same components too. Your experience has made me think about spending a little more on a barrel and assemble the entire upper myself. My goal for the rifle will be 2" at 150-200 yards, with cheap ammo, not too much to ask I think(hope). Thanks for the ideas and tips your putting out there.

I dont stop by often enough either CT. But every time I do come by, I'm always glad I did.

And...... back to 2K a day. Blogger's stat engine must be wanked.

In any case, More writings will happen soon. I'm looking forward to having some free time. Maybe. I hope.

That force sensor is staring at me, daring me to make a recoil sensing rig....

I was unaware of your return. Now that I have remedied that deficiency, there will be another tick on your graph from KY on a regular basis.

Same old story here, CT. Thought you had quit, but stumbled across a post you wrote that I had saved (one of a good number of them), and decided to check back to see if you had started posting again. I've neglected my own old blog so badly I think I only have one person who still bothers to follow it. Can't throw stones at you for periodic posting.

I've never read anything you've written that I didn't enjoy, so I will continue checking back from time to time. I am not savvy enough to do the RSS thing or figure out how to make sure I get each new post.
